On Wednesday, October 24, 2018 we celebrated our annual event, Taste of the Nations, in which our families celebrate the diversity of Mary Queen of Peace School by sharing a meal comprised of dishes that reflect the ethnicities and heritage of our students.  It’s safe to say that everyone left with full stomaches.

Tuesday, October 23, 2018, our 7th and 8th grade students participated in the Real Money Real World program.  This event assigned occupations, and family sizes to our students.  From that information they utilized their math skills learned in class to figured out their gross and net income for the money and used the money for housing, transportation, food, insurance, and other real world expenses.  It was a fun and eye-opening experience for our students.

On Friday, April 29, some of our middle school students will be going on a class trip.  This year our 7th and 8th Grade students will be heading to Michigan.  They are looking forward to visiting Greenfield Village, the Henry Ford Museum, and the Rouge Factory.  The students will be departing from the school promptly at 7:15 am Friday morning and will be returning around 8:00 pm on the same day.  We wish them a safe, fun-filled, and of course educational expedition to Michigan.
